Pastor M. Kennard Carter
Elder M. Kennard Carter was born in the District of Columbia. He was educated in private schools in Maryland. He received his BS Degree in Business Management from Mount Olive College in Mount Olive, North Carolina in 1993. He has studied at the Washington Bible College and Greater Mount Calvary Institute. In 2017, he received his Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministries in from Liberty University.
Kennard gave his life to Christ at the early age of five at the Second Baptist Church under the Pastorate of Rev. Dr. H. Joseph Franklin. He has been preaching for as long as he can remember. He has preached throughout the Metropolitan area and nationally.
He was licensed to ministry in 1994 at the Revival Temple Church under the Pastorate of Bishop Milton L. Carter, his father and mentor. He was ordained by the Revival Temple Church in January 2002 under the auspices of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. He has served as Youth Pastor, Bible Teacher and Assistant to Pastor for several years. He also served as the Washington DC Youth Director of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, where the presiding Bishop was Paul S. Morton.
He was installed as Senior Pastor of the Revival Temple Full Gospel Church in January 2012 after the passing of his father and Pastor Bishop Milton L. Carter. After serving as Pastor for two years Pastor Kennard felt the Lord leading him to plant a new ministry, which he launched in August of 2014 Temple of God Christian Center in Clinton, Maryland. The ministry started with 6 people, but has grown through the years. He is excited about what God is doing in the ministry. He is the founder of Brothers Building Brothers Ministry which was established in 2018.
He shares his life with his wife of 28 years, Sonya Stieff and is the proud father of three sons (Stanley, Micah, and Daniel) and one daughter (Nia) and three grandsons. He loves the Lord and loves being used by God. He gives God all the Glory.
